Tromsø: Arctic Fjord Cruise & Fishing Experience

4.7 (5083 verified reviews)

About This Experience

See the Arctic from the water on this top-rated fjord cruise and fishing experience from Tromsø, where the mountains meet the sea. You choose the atmosphere: an all-inclusive fjord-and-fishing trip on a smaller boat with fewer guests and a more personal feel, or a comfortable larger cruise. Either way you sail a wildlife-focused route through the winter fjords with a local guide who shares the history, geography and ecology of the region.

Fishing is included throughout, so you can drop a line for cod and other Arctic species while watching for sea eagles and other native wildlife. The boat is warm and comfortable, and the trip includes hot drinks and a freshly made fish soup with focaccia — with vegan and vegetarian options — plus thermal suits so you stay cosy on deck through the Arctic scenery.

What Travelers Say

Rated 4.7/5 by 5083 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

This was a great activity with our friends and kids. You get to spend a lot of time on the water and see many areas. We saw eagles, a fox and a porpoise. You also get to fish, which can be a little chaotic with a big group but about half the people were able to catch at least 1 fish. They make a delicious soup from the fresh fish; and there are cookies, coffee and cocoa available the entire time. The weather was cold even in June, but you can go inside at anytime and warm up.
